Vision & Values

Our desire is to show Jesus to the world by becoming servants to all, sharing the redeeming message of the Gospel. The Gospel is the good news that God sent his son Jesus to live with us, teaching, performing miracles and pointing the way to the Kingdom of God (the rule of God on earth that restores all things to his initial plan for creation). Jesus was crucified, died and then was raised to life again, reversing the brokenness sin creates in our lives and in the world. As a result we have been brought into the the Kingdom of God and his mission.

Our vision is to follow Jesus not only by hearing his message but by living it out every day in meaningful ways. We invite everyone to come as they are, experience God’s grace in community, be transformed by hearing the Gospel and actively participate in the mission of restoring others to right relationship with God, each other and the world.

We value Gospel Transformation
We have experienced the power of the Gospel and believe that it alone can radically transform individuals, families and communities. Jesus called his followers to care for our broken world by cooperating with him to restore all things to God's highest purpose for his people. This compels us to live thoughtfully and intentionally with all people whose lives touch ours so that they too will come to know and follow Jesus. We believe that many will be moved by our worship, preaching, hospitality and passion for living as authentic followers of Jesus.

We value Relationships
Relationships in Christian community are a catalyst for Gospel transformation. God often uses others to shape, refine and guide us through the process of becoming more like Jesus. None of us has arrived! We are all, on some level, in a cycle of discovering deeply rooted sin, seeking forgiveness and learning to rely on grace. We acknowledge that we are the recipients of grace that we did not earn. We follow Jesus because he loved us first and sent the Holy Spirit, giving us the power to resist sin and live in right relationship with God and others.

Like Jesus, we seek to become a servant to all, willingly experiencing life from the point of view of others and intentionally joining together in community. In Christian community, we can safely ask questions and confront doubts so that we can be firmly grounded in Christ as we go out to serve others and bring more people into restored relationship with God.

We value Whole-Life, Intentional Discipleship
We are always disciples of Jesus. It is this identity that shapes all other callings. Our lives as students, friends, parents, spouses, and workers are shaped first by following our Savior, learning to live like him and cooperate in his ministry. We would rather live out the Gospel, looking for the Holy Spirit at work in the world around us and seeking to how to faithfully obey the commands of Jesus, than attempt to convince others to believe based on our words alone. God’s love compels us to share our lives with others so that many more people will be drawn in to life as as disciple of Jesus.

We value historical Anglicanism.
We will be shaped by and reflect the streams of Christian expression (Scriptural, Sacramental, Spirit filled) that have characterized the Anglican tradition for hundreds of years.
• Submitted to the authority of the infallible Holy Scriptures
• Liturgical Worship
• Dependant on the power and work of the Holy Spirit

This church plant will be part of the Anglican Mission in America
